Loy and Maxine Christensen celebrate 60th anniversary

Loy and Maxine Christensen celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. They were married at Maxine’s parents’ home on the Harrison Flats, October 4, 1957 on her parents' anniversary.

They are lifetime residents of the Harrison Flats area and have four children, Wilma, Tom (Natilie), Norman (Kim) and Ken (Lori). They have eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Loy retired from Potlatch St. Maries Complex, and Maxine is a retired school bus driver for the Kootenai School District. They served as volunteer EMTs with the Harrison Community Ambulance Association for 35 years. They also hosted foreign exchange students for 14 years.

There will be a reception for the couple at the Harrison Grange Hall, Saturday,  October 14 from 1 to 4 p.m.
