12:53 p.m.: A St. Maries man said he’d been in an argument with a female, and when the person was driving away she hit him with the vehicle.

6:10 p.m.: A Plummer resident said her daughter had come in saying someone was yelling for help. The parent said they couldn’t see anything, but could also hear someone yelling for help

Wednesday, Nov. 27

1:51 p.m.: A Tensed woman said she’d gotten calls saying if she deposited $500 she would be eligible for money from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Dispatch provided the FBI’s fraud number.

9:24 p.m.: A St. Maries woman said there were five people fighting behind a bar in town. Deputies responded.

Thursday, Nov. 28

1:33 a.m.: A small fire was reported spreading along ground leaves toward a small house. Firefighters were advised.

Friday, Nov. 29

5:26 p.m.: A St. Maries resident said they had an oil spill in the basement, and were leaving the windows open for the night. They said they would be staying elsewhere, and wanted an extra patrol in the area.

8:43 p.m.: A St. Maries landlord said they were trying to evict a tenant, and the tenant struck them in the face. The landlord requested deputy contact.

Saturday, Nov. 30

3:39 p.m.: A Santa woman said her neighbor’s dogs were out and wandering in her yard. She said deputies had asked her to call again if the dogs were out unattended. An arrest was made.

6:47 p.m.: A St. Maries hunter said people were shooting metal targets in a field without taking safety precautions, and ricochets and missed shots were passing close to others in the area.

Sunday, Dec. 1

11:47 a.m.: A St. Maries man said someone had cut the chain and lock off of an easement gate on his property.

Sunday, Dec. 2

7:19 a.m.: A Santa resident reported a dog deceased in a neighbor’s yard. The owner was cited for misdemeanor cruelty to animals, and several animals were taken to Hope’s Haven Animal Shelter.

10:39 a.m.: A St. Maries woman said there was a horse in her area that had been tied up for several weeks. She had been unable to contact the owner.

4:59 p.m.: A woman in St. Maries said that on Thanksgiving day, her daughter was there and hitting her granddaughter. The caller said she spoke with tribal police and was advised to file a report with the sheriff’s office. A statement was taken.
