Firefighters from the Idaho Department of Lands are raising funds for the West St. Joe Fire Fund. The program pays for several programs in the community, including a scholarship in memory of Chelsea Thaut, a member of their fire team who died in a car accident.

To raise money for the fund, IDL firefighters will run six miles along the Indian Cliff trail in Heyburn State Park. They will wear full gear on the run, as well as carry Ms. Thaut’s gear to honor her memory.

Any who wish to support the West St. Joe Fire Fund may contact the IDL office in St. Maries, or may donate to an account at the Potlatch First Federal Credit Union.
