Christa Hernandez recently opened Killa Skate Shop in St. Maries. She hopes to share her passion of roller skating and skateboarding to area residents.

A new business has rolled into St. Maries.

Christa Hernandez recently opened Killa Skate Shop and local residents can expect the new store to be a hub for all things ‘roller sports.’

Ms. Hernandez plans to carry a variety of accessories and items for skaters in the area including protective gear, skateboards, and roller skates. She will also be able to do custom work on roller skates as well as special order items from a variety of vendors.

Ms. Hernandez recently moved to the area from Potlatch. She is involved with roller derby teams around the northwest, and she said that she hopes to further share her love of skating with local residents.

“The thing I care about the most is to get people out skating and having fun,” Ms. Hernandez said. “I’m incredibly passionate about skating and I want to share that.”

Killa Skate shop will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and open 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Saturdays.

The shop is located on 108 Eighth Street across from Farm Bureau Insurance. For more information call 208-408-2436.
