SPAN of Benewah County plans to host a free workshop for those seeking answers during a period of grief.

The workshop will be title Pathway Through Suicide Grief and the workshop will cover how individuals process grief, especially when that grief is connected to death by suicide.

The workshop will feature guest speaker, Kaylee Kronk, who is a licensed master social worker and certified grief counselor with Hospice of North Idaho.

During the workshop there will be the presentation as well as a safe time of discussion and sharing for those comfortable. The Rev. Janet Potter said a that the event will provide a safe place for those who may be grieving as we enter the Christmas season.

“The workshop is being offered at this time as we are entering the holiday season which is particularly difficult for those who are grieving,” The Rev. Potter said. “We hope people will attend whether their loved one died years ago or recently, there is no time limit on grief.”

Those who attend are encouraged to RSVP and to also wear a mask. The event will be hosted at the Milling Center Saturday, November 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

SPAN of Benewah County was formed a year ago and their goal is to creating awareness and proving support to those affected by mental health and suicide.

For more information or to RSVP contact The Rev. Potter at 208-245-2686.
