The Bonner County Sheriff’s office received full confessions from the juveniles who threw rocks at the Lakeside football team bus following the Knights’ game at Clark Fork Sept. 11.

One of the rocks, said to be baseball-sized, traveled through a driver’s side window and exited through the other side, coming within inches of a Lakeside player.

Until Monday when the confessions were received, there was question as to what the projectile was.

The bus, transporting 17 people including 15 players, head coach Chris Dohrman and the driver, was nearing the Clark Fork River bridge leaving town when it was struck.

“We were just leaving Clark Fork and we heard a loud bang and shattering of glass,” Coach Chris Dohrman said. “We are so very thankful no one was hurt. This has been a terrible incident to have to deal with, but it could have been a very tragic event and we are very grateful it wasn’t.”
