The Suicide Prevention Action Network of Benewah County will have its QPR training this month.

The free event will be hosted on June 23, from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m at St. Maries Panhandle Health. The group reported that everyone in the community is invited to attend the event to learn more about addressing a situation in which a loved one is showing suicidal behavior.

QPR is an acronym for question, persuade and refer. The QPR mission is to reduce suicidal behaviors and to save lives by providing practical training to the community.

Seating at the training is limited and SPAN members ask the community to RSVP for the event by emailing mmiller@myheritagehealth.org or by calling 208-245-4363.
