Ara Andrea is the new coordinator for the group effort known as “Shared Stewardship” to address the six million acres of Idaho forests designated as high-risk for catastrophic fire.

The program is a joint effort between state of Idaho and the Forest Service and was started in 2018. The initiative analyzes how to focus federal and state resources on needed treatments in at-risk forests across ownership boundaries.

Previously, Ms. Andrea was the Forestry Assistance Bureau Chief for the Department of Lands.
