Accident sends three to emergency room

Four occupants were transported to Benewah Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries after their SUV flipped over on Cherry Creek Road, July 20.

Three people are injured after a one vehicle accident on Cherry Creek Road, July 20.

Benewah County Sheriff Deputies, St. Maries Fire Department and St. Maries Ambulance responded to the accident at approximately 1 p.m.

The wreck occurred just past the Cherry Creek Road, roadside waste station. Emergency personnel arrived on scene to find a sliver Toyota SUV flipped on its roof and four adults who managed to exit the vehicle on their own.

The accident victims were transported to Benewah Community Hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries according to emergency personnel.

As of July 21, BCH Emergency Room staff said they no longer had anyone there.

According to Benewah County Sheriff Dave Resser, the driver of the vehicle lost control likely due to the speed they were traveling. Drugs or alcohol are not considered a factor, he said.
