Idaho families will have an extra opportunity to have their children learn at home.

Beginning this month Idaho Public Television will broadcast free lessons taught by Idaho teachers for the spring session of Classroom Idaho.

The program was developed to help students who may have to remote learn from home due to restricts via the COVID-19 pandemic. The broadcast will allow those who do not have connection to the internet still receive basic lesson from educators in the state.

The lessons will be broadcast five days a week on Idaho PTV’s CREATE channel. For local residents that can be found on channel three. IPT will also provide the lessons via the Idaho PTV’s YouTube channel.

The lessons will began at 8:00 a.m. starting with Kindergateners and the lessons will go up by grade each hour until 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Lessons for students in grades seventh through twelfth will be offered lessons at 3:00 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Additional lessons for this age group will be available at 4:00 p.m. Mondays and Fridays.

An English language learners lesson will be broadcast at 3:00 p.m. Mondays and Fridays.
