Fernwood, Emida, Medimont and Cataldo will host town halls with Senator Mike Crapo Aug. 6.
In a press release, the senator’s office said he will attend a number of town halls in unincorporated towns throughout Idaho in August and September. He will speak with residents on a number of topics, including investigations of Americans’ personal data being gathered again, privacy concerns with companies like Facebook, legislation to combat robocalls, job creation and the economy.
The senator will start off his tour in northern Idaho, with several stops in Benewah County on his first day. He will then travel south visiting towns across the state. He will return to Moscow Sept. 4 to present Latah County Shreiff Richard Skiles with the Spirit of Idaho award
There will be five events in the area Aug. 6. The first will be at 11 a.m. in Silverton’s Good Samaritan Silver Wood Village, followed by a noon town hall at Cataldo’s Masonic Lodge #34. The senator will appear in Emida’s Community Center at 2 p.m., and will appear at Fernwood’s Community Center at 3 p.m. before closing the day at Medimont’s Medicine Mountain Grange at 4:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend, and the events are open to the public.
