For 62 years the Gazette Record has offered local youngsters the opportunity to earn cash by selling subscriptions.

The 63rd edition of the annual sales drive starts next week.

Youngsters ages seven to 17 can register for the 2019 Gazette Record subscription drive June 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Gazette Record at 610 Main. Junior Salesmen can also register by mail by contacting the office at 208-245-4538. Sales materials and instructions will be returned via mail.

“This really is a good way for youngsters to earn cash. Every year our Junior Salesmen run the gamut from youngsters who earn money selling to family to some who are highly organized and work really hard to earn a big paycheck,” Dan Hammes, publisher, said.

Last year’s top earners were Brady and Chase Beckner, who earned $1,018. Sage Moore was the second top earner, she pocketed $926.

“We pay bonuses that grow as sales increase. It’s hard work, but youngster can earn a pretty nice wage,” Mr. Hammes said.

The campaign runs from June 19 through July 24.
