Janel Holmes returns home to join Farm Bureau

Janel Holmes is the new insurance agent to join Farm Bureau Insurance in St. Maries. Mrs. Holmes is a SMHS alumni who graduated in 1989.

Farmers Bureau Insurance has a new broker in its ranks.

The local insurance agency welcomes St. Maries native, Janel Holmes not only to their business, but also back to the community.

Mrs. Holmes is a St. Maries High School alumni who graduated in 1989.

Mrs. Holmes has a business degree from California State University of Long Beach and has worked in various consumer, marketing and insurance positions over her professional career.

She taught classes at CSU and says she hopes she can bring some of her experience to helping resident understand the importance of insurance.

“I love teaching and educating,” Mrs. Holmes said. “Hopefully I can bring that here and teach people how insurance can help them.”

Mrs. Holmes previously worked for Transamerica selling life insurance. She also has an extensive background working in consumer behavior and marketing research. She worked on a team at Hundai and helped to roll out their America’s Best warranty. She also worked with Taco Bell in California to partner with Doritos on their Locos Tacos campaign.

Mrs. Holmes said that she is excited to live in her hometown again and looks forward to spending more time with family in the area. She moved here with her husband Andy and three children Sophia, Wyatt and Landon.
