Local sweethearts who seek a night out are in luck this week.

Multiple area businesses plan to have dinner specials and other attractions making it easy for couples in the area to find an event near them.

St. Maries

The Timber Lodge Cafe will host its Valentine’s Day dinner Saturday, February 13. The special will be a 10 oz. New York Strip with homemade garlic mashed potatoes and a side salad for $18. There will also be a shrimp scampi special with garlic parmesan bread sticks for $14. Those who order one of the Valentine’s Day specials will get a beer, glass of wine or a glass of champagne free. St. Maries Floral and Gift will offer bouquets and other gifts for sweethearts in the area. To have them deliver flowers or other gifts to your Valentine this year call 208-245-3815.

The Elks Lodge will have Valentine’s Day Surf and Turf Saturday, February 13 at 5:00 p.m. The lodge will serve strip steak, prawns, vegetables, potatoes, salad and dessert for $20 a plate. Those who wish to attend must RSVP by calling 208-245-1418.

The Main Street Bistro will offer a Valentines Special Sunday, February 14 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The bistro will offer pork chops with garlic mashed potatoes and gravy. The special comes with fresh broccoli with cheese sauce, a side salad and cherry cheesecake for $17.99 per person.

Up the Joe

The Cutthroat Resort will celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend with three different specials. Friday night the resort will offer a baked salmon dinner, Saturday night a shrimp scampi dinner and Sunday night an eight ounce smoked prime rib and lobster tail dinner. The Calder Store will host its annual prime rib Valentine’s dinner this weekend. Reservations can be made for Friday or Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday reservations can be made from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For more information or to make a reservation call 208-245-5278.


Zoli’s Bakery and Cafe will host a Valentine’s dinner Saturday, February 13 from 5:00 p.m.. to 7:00 p.m. The dinner will be $65 per couple and will feature herb bread with butter of herb ranch, mushroom soup or green salad, chicken cordon bleu, savory roasted sweet potatoes and green beans.
