The St. Maries Kiwanis will name the winner or the pig and a freezer raffle at Hughes Ace Hardware Saturday, November 28 at 3:00 p.m.

President Candy Pugh said that the group usually announced their winners at larger events such as Paul Bunyan Days, but since this year has limited gatherings and the numbers of large events the Kiwanis has decided to announce winners differently this year.

“We usually name our winners in front of a large crowd but we aren’t able to do that this year,” Ms. Pugh said. “Hughes Ace Hardware has been nice enough to let us sell the tickets at their store and they are letting us announce our winners there.”

Ms. Pugh said that despite a lower turnout than usual this year, she is happy to see a lot of community members step up to support the raffle.

“We’ve done pretty good this year. The community has really stepped up,” Ms. Pugh said. “We usually get a lot of out of towners who enter the drawing but that hasn’t been the case this year. The good with that is the prize will most likely go to someone local.”

Locals still have time to enter into the drawing by calling Ms. Pugh at 208-582-2194. Tickets can also be purchase by sending a check to 344 S. 9th Street, St. Maries Idaho 83861.
