Paul Thomas Yegge, 81, resident of Emida, Idaho, died at his home January 21, 2020. He was born to Paul and Mary Yegge August 4, 1938 in Iowa. Paul grew up in Iowa where he was raised on a farm. He graduated high school in 1955 and enlisted into the military.

Following his enlistment, Paul returned to Iowa where he attended college for business. He married and had one son, Paul. Over his life he had many different careers with the latest being in information technology, setting up computers and teaching computer technology.

His life brought him to Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. This is where he met Shirley Bertram on an evening out at the Iron Horse.  The couple married in Coeur d’ Alene in 1992 and soon bought their dream property near Emida.  They built a huge pond and named it Shirley’s Lake. They enjoyed the quiet and seclusion of their property.  Paul enjoyed fishing all around the area and traveling, specifically road trips. He also enjoyed reading, gardening and especially visits from his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Shirley at the family home; son Paul Yegge of Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers Don Yegge of California and Jerry Yegge of Florida; step sons Marlin, Mark and Marty Bertram of the Coeur d’ Alene area and  Michael Bertram of Texas; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. At his request there will be no services.
