A Mass of Christian Burial for Clifford C. Pluff, Sr., age 62, will be Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Evan Abraham Longhouse at DeSmet, Idaho. Rosary will be Tuesday, December 29 at 7:00 p.m. at the Longhouse. Father Peter Byrne will officiate at the services and burial will follow at the DeSmet Mission Cemetery. Mr. Pluff died Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his home in Plummer, Idaho.
He was born April 9, 1958 at Spokane, WA to Edmund and Agnes (LaSarte) Pluff, Sr. He attended schools at DeSmet and Plummer, where he was active in the school sports programs. He graduated from high school in 1977. Clifford worked as a substitute teacher at the DeSmet Tribal School, and had worked at the Tribal Casino as a security guard. He had retired for health reasons. He had been married and divorced.
He was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe. His hobbies included playing the guitar and singing. He was a good artist and loved to draw. He was a good papa with a big heart.
Survivors include his children, Marlene ‘Star’ Pluff of Idaho, Crystal Brown of Post Falls, ID, and Jared Brown of Post Falls, ID; six grandchildren; and his brothers and sisters; Marlene Lambert of Plummer, Linda Galler of DeSmet, Kenneth Pluff Sr. of DeSmet, Carol Allen of DeSmet, Marlee Pluff of Spokane, WA and Joseph Pluff of Port Angeles, WA. He was preceded in death by his son, Clifford Pluff, Jr.
