So which came first, the chicken sandwich or the egg?

But before the chicken mystery, we must do our part to inform you of the great danger facing our republic. This, perhaps, is the best-kept secret in Washington, D.C.

Nancy Pelosi is a white supremacist.

Yes, THAT Nancy Pelosi.

And this isn’t just your usual bluster from some overheated politician doing his part to fill the 24-hour news cycle. In fact, this bit of news – that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is a white supremacist – came from a fellow Democrat.

‘Lest you think this is an exaggeration, here is the exact text of tweets sent by someone called Saira Rao, a 2018 Democratic candidate for Congress:

“Nancy Pelosi is a white feminist.”

“White feminists are white supremacists”

“Nancy Pelosi is a white supremacist”

“And if you idolize Nancy Pelosi, you may as well declare allegiance to David Duke.”

And as if on cue, David Duke – yes the real Nazi, Ku Klux Klan Imperial Wizard, white supremacist – gave his endorsement to Ilhan Omar.

Ilhan Omar?

This gets complicated so we will be brief.

Ms. Omar, another Democrat, is a Muslim recently elected to Congress. Not to be confused with the other recently-elected Muslim, Ms. Omar is the one who seems to have married her brother (which she denies) before she married another guy. At the same time.

Critics say it was some sort of immigration scam. But again, she denies it all – so just move along.

The relevant part might be her Muslim faith, because that could explain her animosity towards Israel. We’ll cut this short, but Ms. Omar has said things about Israel that a lot of people believe are anti-Semitic.

Since a lot of those people are wealthy Democratic donors this matters to leading Democrats.

Like Nancy Pelosi.

So last week Ms. Pelosi wanted Democrats to vote for a statement opposing anti-Semitism. Pretty simple.

Except, in today’s Democratic Party, those are fighting words – for a full two days Democrats could not agree if they oppose oppression, hatred and mistreatment of Jews.

Nancy Pelosi is no a white supremacist, but she certainly is having her troubles corralling the new, ridiculously-liberal Democrats who comprise her caucus.

So - the three of you still reading - have to ask. What does all this have to do with a chicken sandwich?

Last week Rider University issued an edict that Chick-Fil-A was forever and always banned from campus.

The back-story is this private school in New Jersey wanted to add a fast food outlet on campus. The school asked students which restaurant they wanted. Chick-Fil-A was the winner, which makes a lot of sense because their sandwiches are top-notch.

But this caused a problem.

For those who don’t know, the founder of Chick-Fil-A is a Christian. As part of his faith, he has a different view on some social issues than some other people.

It just so happens that ‘some other people’ would include administrators at Rider University. And that is why the bigwigs there rejected the vote of the students and banned the restaurant.

Chick-Fil-A has a stellar reputation for how it treats its employees – ALL its employees – no matter their sexual preference or sexual un-preference, this gender or even that gender. The founder, apparently, not only professes his faith – he practices it. That is, he treats people, even those with whom he disagrees, with respect and kindness.

Happy employees – and better food – could explain why a Chick-Fil-A restaurant does about double the annual sales of a McDonald’s restaurant – this despite being closed every Sunday.

It’s appropriate perhaps that the news about Chick-Fil-A broke the same week Democrats could not muster the votes to oppose discrimination, hatred and violence against Jews.

So after last week, it is obvious the chicken sandwich came first.

It is common, with the obscene prices charged by universities, for parents to scrimp, save and take on ridiculous debt to send their children to college. When their kids arrive, they learn from people who share the ideals of the administrators at Rider University. Not surprising, after some four years of indoctrination, they hatch into similarly brainless adults.

And then some of them get elected to Congress.
