It didn’t take long for Lakeside to find its legs Sept. 5.

Roughly two minutes in and the Knights were off and running through the Lewis County defense.

Three backs rushed into the endzone for Coach Chris Dohrman and one of them added a receiving touchdown as Lakeside evened its record at 1-1 with a 56-30 victory.

J.J. Hall averaged nearly 25 yards per carry as his team out-rushed Lewis County 411-283.

J.J. finished with 123 yards and three touchdowns on the ground along with two catches for another 39 yards and a touchdown. Teammate Vander Brown gained 211 yards and found pay dirt four times in the win, averaging 30 yards per rush and getting Lakeside on the board just two minutes into the contest.

After outscoring Lewis County 12-0 in the first quarter, the Knights added two more touchdowns in the second and four in the third to take a 26-point lead into the final frame.

Quarterback Tucker Sanchez finished with 39 yards and one touchdown through the air, and running back Alberto Arroyo added one touchdown on seven carries and 40 yards.

Upcoming: Lakeside (1-1), as a precautionary measure due to the positive Coronavirus test within its volleyball program, has moved Friday’s home game with Clark Fork (1-0) to Clark Fork. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. at Clark Fork High.
