A timely goal early in the second half lifted St. Maries’ girls soccer team over Priest River Oct. 1.

Bianney Ventura found the back of the net in the 56th minute, helping the Lumberjacks to a 1-0 win over the Spartans as they tallied a fourth IML victory.

Jenna Holder recorded three saves as her team put five shots on target.

The girls traveled to Grangeville Oct. 5, where they were outshot 6-18 in a 0-8 loss.

The girls took a 4-6-1, 4-6-1 IML record into an Oct. 8 game with Kellogg, and host Lakeland Thursday for a final matchup before the district tournament. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m., with senior night set for 3:45 p.m.
