The Kootenai volleyball team’s season ended in a straight-set loss to Mullan Oct. 19 in the first round of the district tournament.

Kaylee Lupo had eight assists and one kill and Tayva Maitland recorded four digs, seven kills and one ace in the 15-25, 18-25, 14-25 defeat.

Bella Defoort added six kills and six digs.

“It wasn’t the ending we wanted or hoped for,” Coach Kaili Gentry said, “but I’m so proud of the girls for how much they improved individually and as a team this season.”

Kootenai closes its season with a 0-13 record.
