St. Maries’ middle school wrestlers went 46-20 in two events last week.

The Lumberjacks competed at Post Falls Nov. 9 and earned 21 wins against 10 losses and defeated Post Falls 51-46 in a dual.

“They hit the ground running,” Coach Hayden Humphrey said. “It was really impressive to see.”

The team traveled to Kellogg Nov. 11 and went 25-10.

“For how well they did at Post Falls, they wrestled even better at Kellogg,” Coach Humphrey said. “Some of our more experienced wrestlers got some tough matches, and our young guys got some good mat time as well.”

The team competed at Woodland Middle School Nov. 16 and hosts its lone home event Nov. 30.
