It is safe to say that after losing a football game last fall to the Kendrick Tigers, Kootenai’s boys team can take bragging rights from basketball season.

Two months after beating Kendrick 49-23 in the first meeting between the two basketball teams, the Warriors stretched their win margin by an additional seven points on senior night with a 61-28 win Feb. 8.

Marcus Ausman led Kootenai with 15 points as his team held Kendrick to fewer than 10 points in each quarter.

Gage Maitland added 14 points, Jarrett Usdrowski 13 and Triston Usdrowski nine.

Mitchell Vawter recorded five points, Drew Little three and Garrett Renner two.

Kootenai (11-6, 4-5 NSL) travels to Wallace (15-2, 8-1 NSL) Thursday. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
