St. Maries’ wrestlers competed at Wallace Feb. 5.

Of the 12 Lumberjacks to get on the mat, 10 won matches.

Dylan Sotin (98) went 1-0 with a first-round pin of Kootenai’s Justin Bussdieker, Myles Hanson (113) was 1-0 on the night and Ryan Vannatter (120) pinned Kellogg’s Cody Sverdsten in one minute and 18 seconds.

Hunter Norris (126), Sam Martin (132) and Hayden Villa also were each 1-0, and Trysten Lockridge (145), being the only St. Maries wrestler to see two matches, was 2-0 with a pair of first-round pins.

Blake Nemeth (145) and Steven Toland (195) each earned first-round pins as they were both 1-0, and Caden Hall defeated Lake City’s Logan Parson by pin in four minutes and 55 seconds.

Philip Hunter (138) and Kobe Burris (113) were each 0-1.

The team competes in the district championships Saturday at Orofino High School.
