Down by as many as five touchdowns, St. Maries’ football team put together a pair of late scoring drives Sept. 3 against Lakeside, Wash.

The Lumberjacks fell 21-42 despite their late flurry of points, capped by Dylan Larson, who ran in both of St. Maries’ fourth-quarter touchdowns.

After getting to within seven with a Tristan Nelson touchdown reception at the end of the first quarter, the Lumberjacks did not see the end zone again until the final frame.

Dylan finished with 85 yards rushing and two touchdowns. The Lumberjacks were outgained 202-293 in rushing yards, and 70-142 through the air.

Ethan Kolar was St. Maries’ second leading rusher with 71 yards, and Trey Gibson had 37 yards on the ground.

Tristan led the Lumberjacks in receiving with 48 yards and one touchdown on three catches. Jared Badgett caught two passes for 20 yards in the effort.
