Kootenai’s Justin Bussdieker (98 lb.) will travel as Kootenai’s lone competitor at this week’s state wrestling championships.

Justin was one of three wrestlers to compete in the 2A District championship’s 98-pound division Feb. 16 and will represent Kootenai as he takes on Connor Parkinson of Ririe in the first round.

“Most of Justin’s matches have been against state competitors,” Coach Jerry Brown said. “I think he’s seen (Dylan) Sotin maybe six times, and he keeps improving. An upset or two, and he can get into Saturday.”

Elan Rivadeneira (145), Abe Ice (160) and Devin Goodson (285) also competed for Kootenai at districts.

State wrestling action begins Friday at Holt Arena in Pocatello.
