Kootenai’s volleyball team will play one match this week before playing the second half of its league schedule in early October.

The Warriors are set to host Genesis Prep Thursday before taking on Mullan Oct. 5 and Clark Fork Oct. 7.

Kootenai faced Clark Fork Sept. 23, falling in three sets 7-25, 10-25, 12-25.

Kaylee Lupo dished out five assists and added five digs in the effort.

“The girls really came together as a team tonight and played very well,” Coach Kaili Gentry said. “Every single girl on the team improved, it’s just a bummer the score doesn’t show how hard they worked.”

The team traveled to Mullan two days prior and fell 16-25, 19-25, 14-25.

“We missed 17 serves, which is a lot of points we just handed over to the other team,” Coach Gentry said. “We didn’t have a great night as a team.”

Tayva Maitland had three aces, three digs and two kills on the evening.
