Kootenai Head Coach Jake Pfeiffer looks to have his roster intact going into Friday’s game at Mullan after a shorthanded effort at Clark Fork last week.
The Warriors finished the game with seven players on the field after starting the game with eight.
“We played tough and through some adversity,” Coach Pfeiffer said. “The first half we were able to compete, but not being able to sub any players definitely was wearing us down by the end of the first half.”
Kootenai answered Clark Fork’s three-touchdown first quarter with a Brady McGann 35-yard reception to cut into the Wampus Cat lead.
Clark Fork put two scores on the board in both the second and third quarters before Warrior quarterback Charlie Orford scored the game’s lone fourth-quarter touchdown on a three-yard run.
Up Next: The Warriors (0-6, 0-2 NSL) travel to face Mullan/St. Regis (6-1, 3-0 NSL) Friday. The first meeting, Oct. 1, was forfeited by Kootenai due to low numbers.
