Knights, miners clash in inaugural sic contest

Alberto Arroyo tangles with a Mullan defender along the sideline Aug. 28 in both teams' season opener.

Friday, Lakeside and Wallace will play the first Scenic Idaho League football game in history.

Both teams have sat idle for at least two weeks, the Knights’ (2-1) last game coming Sept. 11 and the Miners’ (0-2) Sept. 4.

“We will prepare as hard and as well as we usually do and hopefully be ready to play at our best,” Coach Chris Dohrman said. “We are excited to be able to play, and play a league game that matters.”
