St. Maries’ JV boys basketball team closed its season with a 14-5 record following a win at Wallace Feb. 18.
The Lumberjacks won both games the week prior, defeating Orofino and Genesee Feb. 14 and 15.
Connor Wolfe put up 14 points in a 52-32 win over Orofino, followed by Tyler Renner with nine points and six rebounds and Tristun Hill with 8 points. Jared Badgett dished out three assists and pocketed three steals in the effort.
Trace Wicks scored a team-high 12 points Feb. 15 in a 44-30 win over Genesee. Tyler added 11 as the Jacks won their sixth consecutive game.
“I am proud of the way they played,” Coach A.J. Becktel said. “All the kids improved this season. They did a good job of attacking the basket, and our defense has grown so much the past two months.”
