St. Maries’ JV girls basketball team will face Kootenai this week at home before playing their second game against Orofino Saturday.

The girls fell at Grangeville Jan. 18 despite solid performances from Shelby Martin and Tayva Maitland.

Shelby put up nine points and Tayva seven as the Lumberjacks fell 32-47.

The team holds a 7-6 record going into Thursday’s game with Kootenai. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m. at St. Maries High School.
