A third NSL contest hit early this week for the Kootenai girls basketball team.

The girls hosted Mullan Jan. 21 and travel to St. Maries Thursday for the second of their trio of games this week.

Kootenai will close out its week at Wallace Friday night.

The Warriors fell at Deary Jan. 18 by a score of 14-42.

Amanda Wine put up 10 points and Jacey Grange pulled down seven rebounds in the losing effort.

“The girls did a decent job on the offensive end,” Coach Doug Napierala said. “We need to continue to work on our decision making and adapting to different defensive looks. Defensively, we played a good game, but need to continue to work.”

Kootenai 14, Deary 42

Wine 10 pts., 3 reb.; Grange 2 pts., 7 reb.; Tiller 2 pts., 3 reb.

Upcoming: Kootenai (0-5, 0-2 NSL before a Jan. 21 game against Mullan) plays at St. Maries JV (7-6) Thursday, and travels to Wallace (9-4) Friday for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
