Going into an Oct. 6 tri-match with Post Falls and Moscow, the St. Maries volleyball team had evened its record at two wins and two losses.
The girls played one of their two scheduled matches during homecoming week, defeating Wallace in straight sets, 25-19, 25-16, 25-20.
Mackenzie Hammond dished out 21 assists and served three aces for the Lumberjacks.
“It was great to be able to play in front of our home crowd and get a good win on senior night,” Coach Rachele Fischer said. “We are going to keep taking it one day at a time and controlling the things we can, and working hard to improve our weaknesses.”
