The St. Maries JV boys basketball team lost a pair of games going into the winter break.
Seth Swallows put up 16 points to go with six rebounds Dec. 11 at Bonners Ferry as the Lumberjacks fell 50-70.
“We didn’t have a very good shooting night,” Coach A.J. Becktel said. “We got the lead down to 11 a couple times, but couldn’t get it down to single digits.”
Dillon Holder scored 15 points in the effort and Wyatt Holmes recorded six rebounds.
The team hosted Lakeland Dec. 13, and after scoring 19 in the first half was held to seven points in the second half of a 26-45 loss.
“We got a lot of open looks, just couldn’t get anything to fall,” Coach Becktel said. “They’ve come a long way though, from where we were at the beginning of the season. I’m excited to see how far they go.”
