Considering they had not played in a month, Kootenai’s football team gave Lakeside a contest Oct. 8.

The Warriors returned to the field last week in their first game since Sept. 10, scoring its second-highest point total of the season in a 34-62 defeat.

After going down 14-54 at the half, Kootenai scored three touchdowns in the second half and held its opponent to one.

Carter McGann returned a kickoff in the first half 70 yards for a touchdown, and his brother Brady returned a kickoff 80 yards to the end zone one quarter later.

Brady led Kootenai in rushing with 61 yards and one touchdown.

Quarterback Charlie Orford rushed for 34 yards and one touchdown in the effort.

Up Next: Kootenai (0-5, 0-1 NSL), which forfeited its league opener with Mullan/St. Regis one week ago due to low numbers, will travel to Clark Fork (4-2, 0-2 NSL) Friday for its second North Star League game. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
