St. Maries’ JV girls basketball team dropped its first game of the season Nov. 16.

The girls fell to Bonners Ferry by a score of 26-28.

“They played hard,” Coach Dakota Wickard said. “I’m looking forward to coaching this great group of girls this season.”

Taci Watkins and Stacie Mitchell each pulled down 10 rebounds in the effort, followed by McKayla Spray with eight rebounds. Berkli McGreal led the Jacks in scoring with seven points. Stacie had six points.

The team played at Sandpoint Nov. 19 and travels to Kootenai Wednesday (tonight) for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
