A rematch of the St. Maries girls basketball team’s closest game tips off Saturday at St. Maries High School.

The Lumberjacks, 4-12, 0-2 CIL, host Orofino (7-6, 1-1 CIL) for the second regular-season meeting between the two teams.

The first installment saw the shorthanded Maniacs to a one-point victory in mid-December.

Since then, St. Maries has lost five of six and Orofino has gone on to win four of six.

The Jacks traveled to Grangeville Jan. 18 for a meeting with the state’s fourth-ranked Bulldogs.

Jenna Holder scored 12 points to lead St. Maries in the 19-55 defeat, and Taci Watkins added seven.
