St. Maries’ JV girls basketball team split games last week.

The girls defeated Kootenai for their first win of the season Nov. 20.

Bianney Ventura led the Lumberjacks in scoring with eight points, and Shelby Martin pulled down 13 rebounds in the 31-15 win.

The team dropped a game at Sandpoint Nov. 19 by a score of 22-52, despite six points from Stacie Mitchell and five from Shelby. Stacie led St. Maries in rebounds with nine.

The team traveled to Lakeland Nov. 26 and returns to action Tuesday, Dec. 3 with a contest at Wallace.

Tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m.
