It did not take long for Kootenai’s boys basketball team to get into its league schedule.

The Warriors’ second game, Dec. 7, was their league opener with Mullan.

After that, they will wait until Jan. 14 to resume NSL play, when they travel to Clark Fork.

Kootenai hosted Wallace Nov. 30, going down early in a 16-60 defeat.

“We played tough and competed the whole game,” Coach Jake Pfeiffer said. “The key for Wallace was they were able to out-rebound us and get second opportunities to score.”

Chris Moore scored a team-high eight points for Kootenai, and Carter McGann added seven points.

“We have a lot of areas to improve on, but know we can definitely get better,” Coach Pfeiffer said. “I’m excited to see how we do as the season goes on.”

Up Next: The Warriors host Genesis Prep Thursday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at Kootenai High.
