A great place to take your father for Father’s Day is the Harrison Pig in the Park, June 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Harrison City Park.

The long-time tradition is being continued with the help of the Kootenai Booster Club. The Harrison Chamber of Commerce is still sponsoring the event but the Booster Club will run the booth and use the profits for the students at Kootenai High School. The cost is $13 a plate and includes pulled pork sandwich with all the trimmings and dessert. Classic Catering is preparing the food.

“We had to increase the price this year because of inflation costs,” said Sarah Stobel, organizer. “Scheffelmaier Meats is worth it though and it is for a good cause.”

The weather is supposed to be good for this weekend. There will be live music by P.J. Destiny, and activities for the children, as well as a 50/50 raffle. Volunteers are needed. Contact Sarah Strobel at 208-699-5978.
