The Plummer American Legion Post 69 will host a flag retirement ceremony this weekend.
Organizers with the Legion will host the ceremony at 6 p.m., Saturday, August 6, at the Plummer American Legion Hall at 888 C Street.
The ceremony is open to the community and will serve as an educational opportunity on how to properly dispose of a damaged or soiled U.S. Flag.
The Legion has around 150 flags it has collected over the years and anyone in the community who has a flag in need of retirement is asked to reach out to the Legion.
There will be food and beverages at the retirement as well.
For more information on the event, call Wesley Cox at 208-987-0092.
