A St. Maries woman was charged with a felony following an incident May 8.

Kimberlee D. Chappell, b. 1971, of St. Maries, was charged with injury to a child.

Court documents allege that Chappell punched the victim, a 17-year-old, in the face causing scrapes and lacerations around the minor’s eye.

Deputies investigated the incident after the father of the victim’s boyfriend made a report.

Chappell was charged with violation of a no contact order the following day (May 9) after she made contact with the victim after being told not to do so.
