A Plummer man faces two felonies after an incident.
Devin L. Prevatt, b. 1966, was charged with domestic battery with traumatic injury and arson in the third degree. He also faces misdemeanor charges of malicious injury to property and resisting/obstructing.
Police were called to the residence of the victim, a woman he has been married to and in a cohabitating relationship with for 20 years, July 19, according to court documents. Prevatt allegedly was yelling and throwing things in the yard. When the victim and two children went into the house, he allegedly began aiming aerial fireworks at the house causing a blanket to catch on fire and causing damage to a four-wheeler.
Court documents also allege Prevatt forced his way into the shop/garage of the residence damaging the ceiling, light fixtures and the door. The victim was found to have red marks on her from scratches and when officers arrived Prevatt refused to comply with orders.
Prevatt is due to appear in court Aug. 8. He is released on his own recognizance according to court documents.
