Organizers of Emida Day including (front left) Nancy Corbin, Amanda Quincy, Tara Fuller, Candy Fuller, and Donna Fuller, (back left) Tom Cummings, Scott Whealy, Rhonda Wilks, Mary Price, Loise Reeves, Bucky Fuller and Terry Fuller met last week to get the community center ready for the big celebration.

Dean Gentry was honored with a plaque on the St. Maries Golf Course's Ed Kreig Memorial Wall in recognition of his decades of service at the course. He accepted the honor alongside his wife, Glenda, and in the presence of dozens of golf course patrons and well wishers

The winner of the Valley Piecemakers Paul Bunyan Days Quilt raffle, Becky Harold, holds up a corner of the quilt she won. The quilt features a variety of shirts from past Paul Bunyan Days. Funds from the raffle go to help the Hughes House Historical Society build a kiosk to house the historic bell taken from the Foursquare Church when it closed. The Hughes House Museum is still excepting donations that can be sent to 538 Main Avenue or dropped of at the museum's office.

The scavenger hunt was sponsored by the Hughes House Historical Society and the project raised funds for the Hughes House to build a kiosk to store the historic bell that once lived at the Foursquare Church before it closed.
