Emergency services responded to an accident involving a school bus on Harrison Flats Nov. 5. The accident occurred as the bus was picking up a passenger along the road.
There was reportedly partial fog on the road, and the driver reportedly did not see the bus until it was too late to avoid an accident. One student was checked out for bruising from the crash, and the rest of the students were taken by another bus to school within minutes of the accident. The driver's condition is unknown.

Laura Stensgar has been chosen as the CEO for the Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort and Hotel, removing her temporary status in the role after Francis SiJohn stepped down from the position earlier this month.
Ms. Stensgar has an MBA from the University of Idaho and has been employed with the casino since it first opened 25 years ago.Â

The three are part of the club that was originally responsible for the conception of the St. Maries Public Library in the early 1900s. The club meets regularly to discuss different educational topics and to come up with ways to help the community.

Valley Piecemakers Quilt and Craft Club President Phoebe Sheldon hands out donations to representatives from local organizations. Ms. Sheldon gave them out at one of the club's regular meetings.Â
