The Elks Lodge is joining Christmas in St. Maries this year with its first craft fair. The fair will consist of area vendors, and the organization will also be selling goods that lodge members made throughout the year.Â

The St. Maries Church of the Nazarene invites the community to its annual Christmas dinner Monday, Dec. 9. The dinner will be hosted at the Eagles and is free to the public. Pictured, left to right, organizers Becky Luther, Michele McDaniel, Pam Schiermeister and Bev Burch.

The Friends of the Tree of Memories recently set up the Tree of Memories in the courthouse. The auditors office is now accepting forms for ribbons to be hung on the trees. The ribbons can featured the names of family and friends that have died. Ribbons cost $5 each, and profits go to local causes.Â

Valley Vista Care Center CEO Chuck Lloyd and Corporate Compliance Director Kasey Borgman stand in front of their campus' apartments, which will soon be transitioned from assisted living housing to senior apartments. Lapsed waivers required the organization to make the change, as the apartments did not meet specific requirements for assisted living facilities.
The senior apartments are available for rent by prospective residents age 55 and older, and feature full facilities and utilities.

Mae Coulter and Charlotte Applegate show off the prize basket being raffled at this year's PEO Wine Tasting. The event will be Saturday, Dec. 7 from 1-5 p.m. at Four Seasons Realty, offering a wine glass, three tastings and snacks for a $5 suggested donation. Raffle tickets will be available at the event.
