Cabin City BBQ owner Ron Haynes said that he was happy to have a good turn out at the pop-up car show Saturday, and that the restaurant owners had the idea to do the show to have some sort of festivities going on since Paul Bunyan Days was canceled. "There's nothing else going on so its nice to have something to do this Labor Day weekend," Mr. Haynes said.

Traffic on the St. Joe River Road was temporarily halted, near mile post five, when wind knocked down a power line and started a small brush fire at approximately 10 a.m. on Labor Day, Sept. 7. Idaho Department of Lands and St. Maries fire responded. The fire was extinguished and traffic resumed by 10:30 a.m.
