public hearing

Proposed change in fees reactivating Permanently Disconnected Water and Sewer Services.

Santa Water and Sewer District

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY THE SANTA WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT

Notice is hereby given by the Santa Water and Sewer District, Pursuant to Idaho Code 63-1311A, that a public hearing will be held at a regular scheduled meeting on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 5:30 P.M. at the Santa Water and Sewer District Office, 65290 Hwy 3 S. Fernwood, Idaho 83830.

The purpose of this public hearing is to take comments from the public regarding the purposed rate increase for reactivating permanently disconnected water and sewer services.

The Purposed Fee increase is that there will be a minimum charge of ½ the current rate of the district’s connection fee plus the district’s cost for reactivating permanently disconnected water and sewer services.

The current connection fee is $3,150.00 for water and $3,150.00 for sewer. So therefore, a reactivation fee of $1575.00 for water service and a reactivation fee of $1575.00 for sewer service plus the district’s cost would occur for reactivation.

The Santa Water and Sewer District office is accessible to persons in wheelchairs. If you are hearing impaired and will require special service, you must notify District office staff a 208-245-3554 at least three days in advance of the public hearing .
