The Kootenai girls basketball team scored a season-high in its final game, losing a starter to injury which forced the Warriors to withdraw from this week’s district tournament.
Molly Phillips and Tuesday Glessner scored nine points apiece in Kootenai’s 24-58 loss to Clark Fork Jan. 31, where the Warriors lost Keira Bohannon to an injured wrist that put the team at four players.
“The girls played their best game against Clark Fork,” Coach Alyssa Liermann said. “Their shots were falling, they had several steals, all while having only five players and no subs.”
Coach Liermann credited Tuesday for taking a charge during the contest.
Marissa Schilling added four points in the effort and Keira tallied two points.
“I’m beyond proud of these girls,” Coach Liermann said.
Clark Fork will face Mullan Thursday in the North Star League’s district championship game.
Kootenai finishes its season with a 0-14, 0-4 NSL record.
Kootenai 24, Clark Fork 58
Phillips – 9 pts.; Glessner – 9 pts.; Schilling – 4 pts.; Bohannon – 2 pts.
