The Kootenai track and field team had a slew of podium finishers at the North Star League Meet on Harrison Flats May 2.
Christopher Moore won pole vault with a height of 10-06, followed by teammate Simon Hodges in second place with his mark of 10-00. Simon also took second in triple jump, recording a distance of 31-11.
“This was a fun, small meet,” Coach Ashley Rauch said.
Caylee Wilcox finished the 100 meter hurdles in 24.43, good for fourth place.
“Caylee made another appearance in the hurdles after taking some time off to heal her shins,” Coach Rauch said. “She ran a tough race, but worked hard to come in fourth.”
Maddie Murdock and Christopher represented Kootenai at the Meet of Champions at Post Falls High May 4. Christopher competed in pole vault and Maddie in the 3200 meter race.
Up Next: Kootenai will look to qualify athletes for the 1A State Track and Field Championships Friday and Saturday at the District 1-2 Championships at Kamiah High School.
